At the end of a year, where the climate agenda more than anything remains on the mental screen, we are probably all more conscious about our footprint, than we were at the start of the year. And the debate about, how our actions impact the climate, is vigorous.
In Denmark, the number of cases, where responsible leaders in both public and private positions have been accused of failing to live up to moral and legal standards, has been noticeable. Focus on the need for good governance is rising.
Subsequently, so is the need to make citizenship an integrated part of the business model, which creates value at par with the core purpose - not simply a cost item, or ‘license to operate’.
At purpose@heart I have had the pleasure to work for more wood in construction, sustainable energy to benefit the ‘big’ climate and with the ’small’ climate inside our buildings, where close comfort and personal health, make it easier to understand the need and act upon it. And not least, I have worked for active, positive communities to challenge the isolation and passivity risks of our digital reality, for children and young people.
That the youngest teenager in our family has announced, that family holidays in 2020 should stay on the ground and not include air traffic, is simply a sign, that climate negotiations come in all sizes.
